A little while back I saw a DIY project for reception table numbers. I made a few of them, really like them in fact, but had no use for them. Then, recently, I was scrounging around in my craft closet for some project inspiration and the light bulb when off!
So here we go!
I used our “married monogram”. (Is that what you call it?)
Cut out your monogram so that it’s small enough to tape to the inside of your jar.
Using a paint pen, trace and fill in the monogram.
Remove the paper. Cut up your tissue paper (The kind I used happen to be, appropriately, repurposed from a wedding present!). Using Modge Podge, glue the tissue paper to the inside of your jar. Be sure to add an extra coat, once you’ve finished, to seal it.
After it’s dry, place a candle inside and enjoy your luminary!
**Please be careful! I used a fake candle for fear of burnin’ the house down…I’m sure there are ways to seal it to eliminate flammability, but I don’t have it.**
